Spatial hearing

  • Binaural cues: differences between the ears: timing, and correlation that changes.
  • Synthetic reverberation: rooms built from the statistics of real ones, and rooms that break them.
  • Moving talkers: three talkers rendered through measured HRIRs, one of them moving.

Music

  • Timbre: attack time, brightness and spectral flux, heard and measured.
  • Tuning and temperament: just intonation, equal temperament and others, heard and drawn as Lissajous figures.
  • The pipe organ: organ stops as additive synthesis (a template, sounds to come).
